Delta One Lounge JFK: Simply Outstanding
I flew Delta One from New York to Los Angeles and got to check out the Delta One Lounge at JFK prior to my flight…wow, it was outstanding and outshines its peers in many ways.
Delta One Lounge JFK: An Outstanding New Premium Lounge That Sets The Standard In The USA
Delta is opening several new premium lounges it brands as “Delta One” Lounges that are intended for passengers flying its flagship business class product, which operates internationally and on some coast-to-coast domestic routes.
I arrived at the lounge at just after 6:00 am and it was mostly empty at the time…and beautiful. It’s 39,000 square feet and includes a full-service brasserie, a market (walk-up food service), a beautiful terrace and bar, a wellness area, and shower suites.
Take a look:
You know me and coffee…Delta offers excellent coffee (not Starbucks) from Red Phoenix Coffee Roasters in the lounge as well and I enjoyed a hearty and delicious breakfast, including an omelet made to order.
I love the terrace…such a nice feature of the lounge and the shower suites and seating areas are all beautiful.
My one gripe: the restaurant is only open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Oh, there was more than enough to eat in the market, but the brasserie is such a beautiful area it is a shame it is not put to use throughout the day.
I said this lounge outshines its peers and while I appreciate that the United Polaris Lounge in Newark offers a la carte dining throughout the day, not just in the afternoon and evening, I loved the food and coffee in the Delta lounge…it’s an elevated experience.
I’ll publish a full review in the days ahead. But well done, Delta: this is such a big value-add to the business class experience.
