Great Coffee in Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)…Thank you Emirates!
I’m live-blogging my SAS EuroBonus SkyTeam Milion Mile challenge this week. Click here for background and route information.
I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee in Singapore Changi Airport at a coffee chain with links to Australia and the gulf carrier Emirates.
Best Coffee in Singapore Changi Airport – Australian Coffee Owned By Emirates
As a SkyTeam flyer on this trip, we had no access to the wonderful oneworld (Qantas, Qatar, British Airways) or Singapore Airlines lounges. I’ll review the Marhaba Lounge next but in short, skip it.
I had begun the morning with excellent coffee at the Park Hyatt Saigon, but by now it was the middle of the afternoon and I was ready for my next cup of coffee.
Singapore Changi Airport certainly has many coffee shops, including Bacha most prominently in the center of Terminal 3.
But I have a confession to make: I don’t like Bacha…or Pret a Manger…or Starbucks…or Coffee Bean.
However, I found a great choice at a place called Hudsons. I never heard of it before, but learned that Hudsons is an Australian chain of coffee retailers with over 60 stores across Australia…and one at Changi Airport in Singapore. Even more interesting? The chain is owned by the Emirates Group, which includes not only Emirates (the airline), but Costa Coffee…
The flat white (with an extra shot of espresso to make it quite strong) truly hit the spot and fueled me for what would turn out to be a much longer day ahead.
Meanwhile, it was pouring rain outside by Mr. Augustine decided it would be a good idea to run outside (via the butterfly garden) becuase, “Daddy, I like the rain.”
Alrighty, then. Coffee for me. Rain for Augsutine.
