Lover’s Quarrel? A Bizarre Brawl On Ryanair…

After appearing to “kiss and make up” onboard a Ryanair flight in Lithuania, two men broke into a violent fistfight requiring police intervention. Talk about a bizarre brawl…

Kiss And Make-Up Throw Punches? Brawl On Ryanair Has To Be The Strangest One I’ve Seen Yet

Video shows two men appearing to reconcile onboard a Ryanair flight, purportedly in Vilnius, Lithuania (VNO). They are embracing and it is a rather endearing moment of affection…

But suddenly, one slaps the other and a fistfight breaks out. The two seemingly engage in combat (who knows for what reason…) until passengers attempt to break them up and police ultimately pull them apart.

My theory is that these two had been fighting long before the video above began. Lovers? Friends? Rival gangs? I don’t know…but that slap was certainly mafia-like, wasn’t it? The fact that the police were already onboard when this skirmish broke out suggests the two men were fighting, agreed to some sort of truce, then broke into another fight.

It’s like this powerful (yet incredibly tragic) scene from The Crown:

There’s no evidence that there was alcohol involved or other intoxicating substances, though it would not surprise me if that was also at play…it seems that many self-medicate when flying on Ryanair.

Or maybe this is a cultural thing that I am missing? It’s like walking through Iran and seeing all the men holding hands…it means something very different there.

But in all seriousness, cultivating the discipline of self-control is one of the most liberating virtues. “Turning the other cheek” does not mean failing to defend yourself, but here in this case there was absolutely no need to engage the “slapper.” For what? The police were already onboard.

In short, don’t touch others…especially on an airplane. As for this bromance gone sour, I am just thankful no other passengers were hurt.
