Restless Man Attempts Pull-Ups On My Air France Flight…
Yesterday I shared about my Air France flight from Paris to Los Angeles onboard a 777, but there was one detail I neglected to mention: the man who thought it would be a great idea to do stretching and even attempt pull-ups from a rod indicating the location of an emergency exit.
Man Uses Emergency Exit Row To Stretch, Tries Pull-Ups On My Air France 777
Paris to LA is a long flight to be stuck in economy class and I realize that after many hours of remaining seated, you just want to stretch. That’s what the aisle is for, of course, or the galley and lavatory area in the rear of the plane.
But one passenger had another idea. He stood up and grabbed ahold of the bar or rod used to place an exit/sortie sign near the over-wing emergency exit door.
He grabbed on and began to stretch…probably not a good idea because you don’t how much weight that rod can bear, but yes indeed, a good tool to stretch on.
But then he had the bright idea to try to do a pull-up…
He placed his arms about two feet apart and then gingerly raised one foot…then the second. I was waiting for the bar to break off, but thankfully the man realized what he was doing was not a good idea and sat back down.
Too bad all the crew was gabbing in the business class cabin and did not notice…
No harm, no foul I suppose, but in all my years of flying I’ve never seen anyone attempt to use a curtain rod or cabin divider, or exit sign as an exercise tool.
Hopefully, we won’t see it again either…
