Man Arrested At Delta Sky Club In Palm Beach After Refusing To Leave: “I’m A Member”

On July 5, 2025, at Delta’s Sky Club at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), a man was arrested after refusing repeated requests to depart the lounge despite lacking the required access credentials. The exchange was caught on body cam and has now surfaced online.

• Lounge staff repeatedly told the man he needed proper membership or access to remain; he refused
• Authorities were called in
• When approached by police, the man allegedly became hostile, saying things like, “Get away from me, you’re disgusting!”
• He was told he could leave voluntarily or be arrested for trespassing
• He continued to stall and was promptly arrested
• After being cuffed he said, “My choice was to leave,” claiming he had said he would, even though at that moment he was still refusing

What a tool…

I’ve got very little sympathy for someone refusing to produce valid lounge credentials and then occupying the space like a thug. We all know what the rules are and that means you need not just a valid membership (which this man claimed to have…) but also a valid boarding pass for a Delta or SkyTeam flight.

Delta tightened the rules on access and my hunch is that this man was flying another carrier and thought he was still entitled to access to the SkyClub.

Yes, maybe he thought he could talk his way out of it. Maybe he genuinely misunderstood membership rules. But once you’re told you don’t have proper access and the club staff involves the police, walking away is the only smart move. Fighting it in public, aggressively? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

CONCLUSION

Delta Sky Club access is a regulated perk, not a right. If you can’t prove you belong, leaving when asked is the smart play…especially once the cops show up. Maybe this guy was just drunk, but he struck me as drunk with entitlement, which is almost worse. I he was indeed a SkyClub member, I hope Delta cancels his membership for violating lounge access rules. Cops can be rude…but they were great here. Generally, you respect them and they respect you…this guy made a bad situation far worse.
