easyJet Passenger Tackled After Yelling “I’ve Got A Bomb” And “Death To America”
Passengers onboard easyJet flight U2 6477 from London Luton (LTN) to Glasgow (GLA) on Sunday, July 27, 2025, were forced to subdue a man who emerged from the rear lavatory yelling “Allahu Akbar” and “I’ve got a bomb!” Witnesses say the man, 41-year-old Abhay Devdas Nayak, shoved flight attendants before being tackled and pinned to the floor by fellow travelers.
According to The Sun, passengers restrained the man until landing and located a wallet identifying him as a refugee. Reports suggest he is an Indian national named Abhay Nayak, who was found carrying documentation related to asylum status.
One passenger told the outlet that during the incident, the man shouted that he wanted to “send a message to Trump.” Former President Donald Trump was visiting Scotland at the time, golfing at his resort in Turnberry the day before.
“I wanted to send a message to Trump! He’s in Scotland!”
The flight continued to Glasgow as planned, but police and emergency responders met the aircraft on arrival. The man was arrested and taken into custody. He later admitted there was no bomb onboard.
Video from the scene shows several passengers physically holding the man down in the aisle until authorities arrived.
The Times of India also reports that the man shouted “death to America” during the ordeal and had previously posted political messages online that made reference to global leaders and Western influence.
CONCLUSION
This was a terrifying moment for passengers onboard what should have been a routine short-haul UK domestic flight. While the man ultimately had no bomb, his behavior sparked a full emergency response and certainly provided a scare onboard. EasyJet has not yet issued a full statement, but police continue to investigate the incident. Thankfully, no one was injured.
